Cinder City FC
Cinder City Football Club was founded in 1892 by ironworkers from the Kellerman foundry, who played their first matches on a strip of waste ground behind the works. The club moved to its current Kellerman Park ground in 1929 and has represented the city through seven league titles, two world wars, and the closure of the foundry that gave it its name. Today the club is member-owned, with more of its shares held by season-ticket holders than at any point in its history.
